Focus On Us

 I am sitting here alone,
thinking about us.
Thinking of all the things
we do, and of our common trust.

I have considered
the part I have to play
in the who and what
we are today.

I have pondered
over may things
to make life better
for the both of us.

I even took at a class
and I learned a lot
including how what I do
affects the both of us.

In that class, it has been presented
that those who've changed their lives
had to have a reason for their change
like their children or their wives.

And that something must have happened
to spark the thought of change,
and after it's occurrence
an entire life they would rearrange.

They call it an ah ha moment,
it's A moment when you feel
that for whatever the reason may be
the world they will change for real.

I have only had one of those moments
one other time in my life
and I made every change I needed to
make her happy by my side.

Her and I were together,
for over 20 years
until she left for only god knows why
leaving me in tears

After she was gone,
all the changes that I made
had no further reason to be
and from them I had swayed.

But just a moment ago,
before the beginning of this year
I had another ah ha moment
and suddenly everything was crystal clear.

I know with whom it is that I want to be
the person with whom I want to spend
the rest of eternity.
Standing by each other's side, forever faithfully.

 I also now know
that there isn't anything I won't do
to make the world a better place
in her eyes, as us, and that is true.

let me tell you now,
that us is YOU and I
and for that us, together
I'll do anything, DO or Die

I've had an ah ha moment
And when it started you see
I tried to imagine the world
without an Us or We.

All I could imagine was an
empty world, full of gloom,
it felt as if life was over
far, far too soon.

Then I started to think, about
about what we could and do have
of all the times we've SHARED
and how good they really are.

I formulated a plan,
and put it into motion
Finally making up my mind,
to fill your life with love and devotion
.
